Minimalist Noah

April 12, 2018

Noah's childhood sorted through and boxed up... put on the front porch...for his parents to sort through.

Challenged by the question: What will we keep...what will we give away?  This is just transition.

Broken down into categories.

Current dilemmas of learning to drive, late nights out with friends, finding blunt wrap packaging in his garbage can, and a tiny bottle of cinnamon whiskey in his pocket during laundry prep ....meets crashing memories, of PlayStation games, guitar hero, D&D books, Lord of the Rings action figures, swamp thing toys....

Noah has cleaned out his room and we have been in another process of helping him reorganize his self from child to adult.  We are wading through the thick of objects....and our emotions.....we are being tossed around in some currents of feelings and working through detachment of objects.  Thank you Noah for these lessons of...letting go and holding on.

We dropped off the items we could part with...we have formed a small collection of things we are unwilling to let go of.  It has been one of those weeks.
