Finally Spring things! Re-vibe

i got to experience reiki for the first time a few weeks ago. it's relaxing, warm, and opened my curiosity. I have been reading about it and apparently it is spiritual healing method developed in Japan. It is the balancing of the Universal Life Energy. I am intrigued and will be reading more about it, as well as making more appointments in the coming year. My mind is blown, as i felt intense heat being emitted out of hands as they pasted over me. Another first for me is chiropractic adjustments. I have two adjustments so far and will be going back next week for a third. I giggle every time he adjusts my neck, it's the cracking sounds ...it's just so loud. Dog walking is going great. I have met so many amazing dogs, there is nothing like the tranquility of walking along a sweet soul on a sunny spring day as the birds chirp. Birds have (for two straight years) made a nest in the bird house on our front porch. It is an enjoyable experience to watch them build up their nest...listen to them chattering all day as they plan for their young, then guard their "nesty" home with intense dedication. Soon we will hear the babies crying out, and if we are lucky, we will see them fly the nest. Last year while on sitting out on the porch drinking coffee, we were in the right place just at the right time to see the very act of crossing that threshold from dependent young chick to adult bird. In other areas of all that is new: Noah has experienced his first break up. He woke me up in the middle of the night to "talk".... it was a painful experience, as a mom, but more painful for him as he is going through the spectrum of feelings which accompany this experience. It does feel like an honor any time he comes to me to "talk", and as the days go by he is healing and becoming more insightful with each new break through he makes in "aligning heart and mind". We are going to try a small hydroponic garden this year. We started the seedlings a few days ago. We have already started to see some life emerge. The system is planted with Holy Basil, Dill, Mint and various types of salad greens. Dream: setting up a all girl D&D campaign group to do table top adventure roll playing, the challenge - finding a schedule for all the interested parties. I have been building up a fun story...but having it all fall into place, well that will be a challenge.

I'm looking forward to this weekend and doing some spring Ostara/ Easter type activities like coloring eggs with Harley and Josh. I know Noah will not really be into it, but if it works out with his schedule we may just get him to color an egg or two. We have tulips and daffodils planted in pots brightening up the house. Cheerful hellos around every corner, "hello, yellow, hello orange...hello flowers" The Atlanta 5k, and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and the Delta Jet drag are coming up. The Tulip Festival. Hopefully some outdoor hikes, and farmers markets as well. I would love to grow some mushrooms from inoculated mushroom spore bags, work on the yard with Josh, and have some backyard fires, grilled veggies and beyond sausages/burgers. Sangria with fruit, and star gazing. Maybe just maybe we will brew some beer...if I can motivate my old man. Happy spring!
