Lovely Day

I worked from 4 am to 8 am. The day started with a fantastic cup of coffee, pour over coffee to be exact, which was freshly ground and spiced with a hint of cinnamon. Once I was done with work, I came home to three sweet pups who were ready for their breakfast. I then spent a good part of an hour researching Amsterdam hostels, bus trips from Amsterdam to Paris, and things to do in Amsterdam. After getting extremely excited about the possibility of making this work within the next couple of weeks, I crawled into bed next to Josh by this time. Typically Josh does not like to sleep past 10 am, but the night before he stayed up pretty late so instead of me waking him up with m banter, I eventually gave up talking and took a nap.

Once we were up the day, we headed over to the Long Pound in Grafton Lakes to do some kayaking. We shared a tandem kayak and brought along our binoculars. The state park was not as busy as I thought it would be for Memorial weekend. As we paddled our way to the far side of the lake, it felt very peaceful. The wind would wind up and kick water up into our faces at times, which we both found funny.

After spending an hour on the water, we paddled back and then headed to Man of Kent (MOK). We had a nice lunch paired with delicious beer.

We are planning a quick trip to Europe in a few weeks. Originally we were going to go glamping at a music festival, but after discussing our extensive options now, we decided to do something a little more daring.

I have to work early again tomorrow, so I am about to get ready for bed. I hope we can pull off this Europe trip as I have been dreaming about going to Europe for some time now.

All and all, it has been a lovely day!

peace and blessings
