Mid January update

We are mid January and just starting 2019

...so many things have already been transforming over the course of just a month...

I have already mentioned many times how much i love my new job. I'm surrounded by nice, unique, and sweetly weird colleges from all over the world. There is a comradely among the crew that seems rare, only one other time have I experienced this type of environment of fun and that was when I briefly worked for an SEO company where the emphasis was work can and should be one of your happy places. I'm going to be getting CPR certified this month through the organization. At our local station, the company has held blood drives, ginger bread house making day, sugar cookie decorating day, mac & cheese bake offs, coat drives, and we have a team work-out plan for the month of January. We even have smoothie Sundays where we make smoothies together. There are many vegetarians and even a few vegan curious possible converts among the group. There are many managers spread through out, and power is evenly distributed among them in a way that creates a healthy balance among the group. The relationships are productive and the HR is top notch, in fact it is world class as it is a worldly company. I never thought being part of a large conglomerate that has 80,000 plus employees would be for me, but now I see that though we are a part of a large entity...here locally we keep things like families tend to: close knit, filled with local emphasis, and our local station pride. I'm honored to be a part of this group. Thank you divine!

It has been very cold these last few days, so cold in fact that even the dogs have not really even wanted to go out. We have been filling our house with the sounds of music, watching travel shows like Escape the Continent (one of my favorites right now), doing arts and crafts, fitness blenders, yoga stretches, good strong coffee, 12 bean soup, home made potato spinach enchiladas down to the smoked paprika turned to enchilada sauce. Noah has been spending more time here at the house than at his apartment, seems that once he came back for the holidays, he got a taste of something he had forgotten for a while...and that was this house is his always home no matter where he moves on to...he can always come back home where there will be a warm place for him. <3

On the business front... Josh has bought some gear and hand made custom cases with his business logo carved into them. We have a new entry way for the business with reclaimed wood and he wood burned a sign by his own hand with back lighting he created. it looks awesome. He is replacing the railings going up to the studio with some pipe, and it just looks stellar. He is doing a great job on his design updates to the studio. We even have a lighted exit sign installed now, which feels so "official". A class of about 13 students came to his studio for a field trip. They learned about the inner workings of a small sound studio and even got to record a song they prepared. Next month we are going to San Francisco, for a week. I am excited about that! <3
