Ides of March

"Well, the Ides of March are come."

Long before the betrayal of Caesar

Mars.

Imagine divinity veiled in measures, calculations, and observations.

Laying winter to rest.

Cyclically reliable.

Stabbing a point of contention between seasons in flux

This unease between winter and spring…

Forms our spatial tension.

…an interplay of change…that holds us in place…

with the embittered wind.

Unencumbered and appealing.

Targeted undo.

The virility of earth in its revolution.

Here we meld with Minerva- blazing towards our muddy womb.

In this inertia of a supreme confirmation upon the force of winter.

No season can resist the astrophysical pull into alignment.

An adjustment of the solar bodies upon us.

Even the faithless find confidence in the earth breaking open to bloom.

The Senate of stars conspires visions of possibilities, some hope we hold.

"Aye, they have come, but they are not gone"

~ Patience
